Course Details

Category C+E allows the holder to drive a large goods vehicle with a maximum authorized mass (gross vehicle weight) over 7,500 kg with a trailer over 750 kg, artic or wagon and drag Our courses run over 5 days with 1:1 tuition and your test is on the final day.

These LGV lorry driving courses concentrate on reversing, coupling + uncoupling the trailer and good driving practice.

All courses are designed with the sole aim of driving professionally beyond DVSA standards. You will be under constant instruction and guidance from our highly experienced instructors who have “been there, done it!”.

So, if you hold a full Class 2 (C) Licence, simply contact us to book the Class 1 (C+E).

Course Requirements

To gain your C+E HGV driving licence you must be over 18 years old and meet the below requirements.

  • You must hold a valid UK car driving licence issued through the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (the DVLA).
  • You must hold a provisional lorry licence, again issued through the DVLA – RED can help you through this process.
  • You must be in good health, including having acceptable eyesight, mental health, and no neurological conditions – RED can manage and book a medical locally to you known as D4.
